Day 83: Cozy

I got a new dress on Saturday from Greg's mom as a Christmas gift and wore it to work today. It's really a dress made for Fall and Summer but I love it so much I couldn't wait to wear it so I dressed it up for Winter and wore it to work. I love it so much. 

I also love my big ass cozy scarf I got from a shop in Wildwood in the fall.

And on a side note, after work I went home and watched hours of Nana. It is one of my fav Manga's of all time from back in the day and though I haven't finished reading the series, I saw they had the animated version on Hulu so I put it my queue and started watching it a few days ago. It's such a great book/movie/cartoon (They also have the movie version too which I will also watch lol) The storyline gets so sad. So many aspects of this series breaks my heart but I think that's why I like it so much, because it's very realistic in as far as how humans are, how they act, how they feel, what they go through.

Day 82: Playoffs and New Girl

Went back to Fish Market today with Greg to get lunch and watch the playoffs (Patriots/Broncos). When he left I went home to catch up on Dracula and New Girl. I absolutely love those shows. Schmidt from New Girl is my favorite, he's TOO funny.

Day 81: Kegbus

Today is Z's birthday party. It started at District of Pi where everyone had dinner, great place btw the bartenders are incredibly nice and in high spirits. Our friend Matteo had a nice shiner on his eye.... Dressed in a suit looking nice with a BLACK EYE lol. Shit happens I guess. After everyone was done we got on the Kegbus which looked eerily similar to that of a prisoner's bus that took us to Lima. We were all set on the Kegbus so we really didn't need to go anywhere but Z wanted to dance so we went. On the bus we had a built in ice box where everyone put their liquor and we had music playing and a stripper pole on the bus so we were good. When we got to Lima, 2 cocktails cost us 21 dollars, it looked like someone's basement, and it wasn't all that great so we couldn't wait to leave. We got back on the Kegbus and originally had 2 other stops planned but then everyone decided it's best to just stay on the bus and enjoy the alcohol that was already bought and the good music and space for dancing. It ended up being a great decision. The bus drove us to the National Harbor where we stopped for a few minutes and then went back to DC to end the night. It was a lot more fun than I anticipated. 

 

Day 80: Cheerwine

Greg surprised me at work today! We went to lunch together and got some Sandwich Republic. They have a great selection of bottled sodas so I got Cheerwine. So Good.

Went to Fish Market with my fiance and decided instead of going out afterwards to get some beer and wine from Trader Joes and go back to the hotel and hang out ourselves. It was a great decision. We watched "Say yes to the Dress" and "Something New, Something Borrowed" lol.

Day 79: Car Wash

Tired of seeing my car all dusty white from gross Winter air and crap from the street.

Day 77: Contouring Tutorial.

I have seen a million different tutorial techniques but none quite like the one I am posting about which I am trying for myself today. It ended up looking pretty nice on me when I was done though a tad bit dark and def very heavy on the face but it was def interesting. This is the girl I followed for my tutorial. 

She was fun to watch and made it seem very easy. She basically layers on the highlights and contour colors then goes over it all with a foundation and a stippling or kabuki brush to blend everything together. It looks crazy at first but actually works really nicely.

Day 76: Crisps!

I was eating these waffle crisps and looked at the back to see they are from Abruzzi! That is where the Italian side of my family is from! I thought it was really neat. Food from my people lol.

Picked a Wedding Bouquet and matching Boutonnieres too! I'm excited, they are gorgeous.

Finally got the Save the Dates printed. Ready to send at the end of the month!

Since that is complete I also decided to add a Save The Date page on our wedding website

Day 67: New Nails and an Old Ring

I was doing my nails when my sister was cleaning the bathroom and she stumbled upon a very old ring of mine from about 10 years ago in a little box that was kept under one of the cabinets. Yes, THE ring. It was a nice surprise. 

As far as my nails go, It was my first time doing a style like this in acrylic and my first time doing an acrylic design on top of my nail. Usually I paint a design on. It was also my first time using my LED lamp and a gel top coat. It all ended up really nice however I was disappointed in the bow I did. It tool me so long to perfect my nails that I forgot to use white acrylic for the bow before applying the first coat on my nail so by the time I DID add white acrylic the original layer had already dried and made the rest a glaze color instead of white so it's messy and hard to tell what it is in my opinion but you learn from your mistakes so I know for next time.

Day 66: Hair and Makeup

I've been looking at tutorials for hair and makeup to get a better idea of what I want for the wedding and I haven't quite got it down yet. In the process I have found cute every day styles I can manage for regular days. I did a low pony tail with volume on top and neutral makeup. The lighting is shit so you can't really see the makeup but it looked nice.

Day 64: Fat Princess

99% of my free time is spent playing Fat Princess on PS3 so you will probably see a lot of future pictures of FP on this blog lol. Here is a pic of Tabby and I playing Multiplayer style online as Giants, knocking everyone's block off who tries to get into our castle.
