Day 101: My Name

I got this e-mail from one of the sales reps at our company which made my day because she is a stern, serious, not to be messed with big shot here so this was a very pleasant surprise from her.

Day 100: Dreaded Tax Returns.

I MADE IT TO 100 DAYS!!!

It's been tough too, but I did it.

Moving on, today I got on Turbo tax to start filing my taxes which i have been thoroughly dreading like the fucking plague because I haven't received money back from filing taxes in YEARS. LAST year my second job dicked me right the fuck over by costing me about $300 in taxes that I owed so I knew this year would be no exception. I was done filing my first job (my full time job) and I was owed back a whopping $10.

 I knew that joy wouldn't last very long as I got ready to file for my second job. I clenched my butt tight and began entering all the necessary data and BAM....there it was. I owed $380. THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FUCKING DOLLARS. WHY??? Because the guy running the place there NEVER fucking takes out FEDERAL TAXES!!!! He obviously doesn't give a shit that he royally fucks over his employees because he's apparently been doing this since he started his business over 20 years ago! What the fuck. I panicked and had a mild anxiety attack, one where my heart started racing and I couldn't get it under control for about 2 hours. It was BAD. I raged to my fiance about it because this meant I couldn't afford to pay my taxes AND continue to contribute into our wedding account. He said not to worry so I felt better..... until I realized that was only my FEDERAL portion. When I entered my State taxes .... Another $148 was tacked on. So I owe the IRS $528 because of that shit ass one day a week job. Seriously.... I work there 1 day a week and get about $120 a month. I only worked there to assist with gas money and little odds and ends but I certainly don't NEED to work there when this is the end result.

I only work 1 day a week. I do it because it helps like I said, with little odds and ends and because I like my Wednesday crew and in general I enjoy working there but I work my ass off and I mean REALLY busting my ass with manual labor and running back and forth and making sure everything is up to speed and well stocked, etc which is way more than I do at my full time job and this is what I get for it.

Look at this math:

I get about $120 a month from working there so $120 x 12(months) = $1,440 a year. (I actually just thought about it and laughed because I make more than that a MONTH at my full-time granted yes, I am only working 4 days a month there) okay moving along. $1,440 - $528 (taxes I owe) = $912. So after paying taxes I am really only getting $912 a year. So $912 / 12(months) = $76 a month. I work 4 hours each shift so 4hours x 4(days I work those shifts) = 16. So for 16 hours of work I get $76. Can you guess what that is hourly? That's right..... $4.75  WAY LESS than minimum wage. I am 29 fucking years old with a LOT of work experience and skills under my belt, lot's of highly accredited jobs and here I am busting my fucking ASS for $4.75 an hour. I am putting in my 2 week's notice TODAY. It is NOT worth it. Luckily it is still very early in the year at about a month and 6 days so come NEXT year when I file I will only owe something like $80. FUCK YOU, I'M OUT.

Day 99: Cake Topper

You guys. Look. LOOK AT THIS. I am SO excited about this! We just bought this as the cake topper for our wedding cake :3

Day 98 - Adventure Time Canvases

My sister painted these small canvases for me for Christmas. I only just now got around to taking a pic of them. SO CUTE.

Day 97 - Weather

I love Winter.

Day 96 - Ranking Up

 The last Event in Blood Brothers was a ranking Event. I worked my ass off to get to the top so I could get a double promotion.

Before Promotion:

I was a 2 star (Primus Pilus) in the 3rd tier so I was in the second Echelon of the 3rd tier. There are 4 tiers and each tier has 5 Echelons except the top (4th) tier, which only has 3. As you can see, I (hoorofbabylon) placed the top of my promotion pool with 775,207 points so I was due a double promotion. It is HARD work to get to the top after the first initial round of battles.

After Promotion:

I then became a 4 star (Tribunus Militum) in the 3rd tier just 1 away from the final tier and I am only a level 75. 

I keep my level low by not playing my Warlord as often as most people because I like the element of surprise when I can kick a level 170 player's ass. The only down side to that is that you HAVE to have the Warlord in any band you form and if you are not certain you can beat a higher leveled player's band, their Warlord COULD kick your ass because yours is not as high in stats as theirs. I usually don't have an issue beating them though, I choose my battles very carefully which is how I got pretty high up in ranking at such a low level.

Day 95 - Jewelry Stand

I made a jewelry stand a while back. I have really enjoyed it's usefulness compared to store bought ones. I went to a thrift shop and bought tiny plates for less than a dollar each along with candle holders for about 70 cents. The most expensive part was the spray paint I needed to paint the candle holders. So I paid about 4 bucks for this not including spray paint, which would be about $7.50 with. It's perfect for me.

Day 94 - Wisdom Tooth Removal

Today is the day. Had to get one of my wisdom teeth removed. Didn't hurt nearly as bad as last time, in fact it didn't hurt either time during the process of removal and both times were fairly quick but this time was a lot less painful with healing. I still got all the meds I needed but only had to take 2 pain killers period. 

(Oxycodone, hydrocodone, Amoxicillin, and then some really long name I can't remember)

Day 93 - Trying to get used to my hair

So I have been struggling to like my new hair. Nothing ever quite looks or feels as nice as when you leave the salon. I've put rollers in it, used a wand for waves, straightened it. It's always just OKAY and feels really crappy, not silky like it did at the salon :(

Day 92 - Pug Puddle

I was browsing Instagram and stumbled across this.

Day 91: Fav Hand Lotions

Crossed my fingers and hoped that Sally's still had their Beyond Belief hand lotions (They smell SO GOOD and don't feel thick and oily after using it) and they usually only have them around Christmas time but luckily they still had some left so I got all 3 scents.

Day 90: Hair Cut

Wanted to trim the ends of my hair and give it overall shape. They didn't do what I asked for as usual and I am not happy with it but I am trying to do things with it to like it. I added waves, it's okay but not really. 

Day 89: Let me Explain

Watched Kevin Hart: "Let Me Explain" on Netflix. He is TOO funny.

 

Did you know he is only 5'2? I knew he was short but DAMN! he's shorter than me and that's weird to imagine.

Day 88: CoCoPPa

I HATE the Cocoppa app for how slow it is and how they don't have all available apps yet but I do like having cuter icons instead of the stock ones. This is my current screen.

Day 87: Loaner Car

Had to drop my car off for an oil change at the dealership yesterday and turns out my computer module needed an update so I had to leave the car there overnight, they gave me this loaner. It's a Suburu. I don't like the way it looks but I LOVED the way it drove. It was smooth and did everything with ease. Much easier to see while driving than in my car. I miss driving an SUV.

Day 86: Blood Brothers

Been playing this game on my iphone called, Blood Brothers. I am only a little addicted. Here is a screen shot:

I should have scrolled up before taking it but I wasn't thinking. I was in first place during a Rank Promotion Event. I was a Primus Pilus (2 Star Top Tier).

Day 85: Single Sigit Temp

I guess you could say it was a LITTLE cold.

Day 84: Real Snow

It was getting old, hearing, "It's gonna snow!" all the time and it either turns out to be nothing maybe even a little rain or a light dusting. THIS time, it was finally different.

Started accumulating at lunch time. SO pretty, finally looks like Winter.

It was still snowing here and it didn't stop until the wee hours of the morning so we finally had good snow.
